Students from all disciplines are invited to participate in the Washburn University Day of Transformation, an event that provides venues for students to showcase the activities that led to their individual transformational experiences. The Washburn Transformational Experience (WTE) is a graduation requirement which provides students with the opportunity to expand their personal and academic development in one or more of the following areas: community service, leadership, scholarly research/creative expression, or international education. For more information see WTE.
The WTE presentation is meant to demonstrate not only what the student did, but what the student learned and how his or her experience in doing the activity affected him or her. Any type of presentation used in a professional setting is acceptable for this event. This includes oral presentations, poster presentations, exhibitions, and performances. Specific presentation content should meet the criteria of the WTE area that was explored by the student as discussed with the project mentor. For specific presentation criteria about time requirements, poster size, presenter dress, etc., please see the Presentation Requirements and Hints page.
If you are interested in participating in the Washburn University Day of Transformation, please consult with your mentor (and fellow presenters, if applicable), regarding the information that needs to be submitted and complete the online registration form. Please note that all presenters of a group presentation must submit an individual registration form. Registration forms must be submitted online no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2009. Requests to present submitted after this deadline will not be accepted.
